How I flashed my MediaTek Stock ROMs With SP Flash Tool (MTK Android Smartphones)

The SP flash tool, is a phone flashing software designed for MediaTek smart phone's e.g injoo , infinix, Tecno, HTC e.t.c.

This tool helps to update firmware, flash smartphone ROM (stock or custom), unbrick bricked smartphone and installing custom recovery on MediaTek phone.

This post will show you how to flash custom ROM using the SP flash tool on your window computer.

Thing required before flashing a custom ROM.

1. SP Flash tool - Download it Here

2. Android ADB drivers - Download it here

3. Stock or Custom Rom(a flashing software) you want to flash on your Smartphone.

Note; all phone have a different custom or stock ROM, what I mean every phone have it's flashing software that works properly on it, please make sure you get the one for the phone before flashing your phone to avoid the story that touch.

Disclaimer: Don't flash another preloader and DSP_BL blocks! It is always dangerous!, as you might get you phone bricked. It is confirmed that it does not work on all device.

How to begin.

Step 1

Disconnect you phone from your computer if connected. Switch it off and remove the battery if it is not a phone with an inbuilt battery.

Step 2

Reconnect your phone to your computer, using the USB, cable, you should see a window pop up on screen showing installation of MTK65XX Preloader Drivers,if this happens great! It simply means that you installed the MediaTek preloader correctly.

Step 3

Now! Extract the SP flash tool and lunch it on your computer.

Step 4


Locate the folder you stored the extracted file. Locate flash-tool and double click to lunch it.

Step 5


Once lunched, click on the scatter loading button.

Step 6


Locate the scatter file in the storage ROM of the phone you downloaded it to (avoid the mistake of loading a non 100% compatible ROM with your phone, this renders the phone non-bootable)

Step 7


Hit the download button on the SP flash tool to begin the flashing process.

Step 8

Connect you phone to your computer via USB. Make sure there is no battery in it but if it's a phone with inbuilt battery leave the battery.


Once the flashing is complete. A circled green button will appear on your computer screen showing ...Download Ok.

Close the SP flash tool software and disconnect you phone from the computer.

...congrat you phone is flashed with the custom ROM you downloaded


If your phone bootloops, remove battery and boot to recovery mode. Factory reset you smartphone.

How to save Instagram picture.

Saving Instagram picture seems tricky, one might think it is a impossibility, some go to the extent of taking screen shot of the pics then save it to there device storage, yap that's cool because it works fine I can testify of making use of this method.



I take this screen shot simply by holding down my Android phone volume down + power button, that's all. If you are a blackberry phone user,you can take a screenshot shot with the help of the screen muncher application; simply click on the option button and click on the screen munched icon on the pop up window to take a screenshot.

Now back to business!, nowadays can't say all but few people are not making use of the screenshot method, with the help of an application called INSTA-SAVE one can save an Instagram pics, with just son simple and easy steps.

How to save an instagram picture using the insta save application.

1 Download the insta save application on play store; open your Google play store, click on the search box and input this word "insta save" to search for the app, click on download to download the app. Don't forget to install and lunch the application after download.

2. Open t your Instagram app by clicking on the app icon. Now login by filling the username box and input password box and click on login button. You can also login to Instagram via your Facebook account.

3. Locate the picture you want to save. At the top left corner of the pics, locate the three dot horizontal line to select the copy share URL option. Copy the URL.



4. Lunch your insta save app, paste the picture URL into the box written "paste instagram picture URL here",

the picture will display on your device screen, click on "the save it" button to save the pics to your device storage.
