Disable auto page refresh in Opera, Firefox, Internet Explorer e.t.c

This might be a short tutorial, but important and wity.



Being the kind of person that loves to take control of any thing I can, you would love to stop the auto refresh page property of your browser.

Auto refresh command is implemented via the use of HTML META tag __ or with javascript

The HTML META tag auto refresh command can be disabled if the browser supports it, while with advanced extension can be used to disable auto refresh for the particular website.

Doing this might be for the reason of browsing data saving and might be to save you the embarrassment of your browser interrupting your web activity automatically, let think of the instance of you reading a blog post listed from 1-80 lines and you are almost trough racing and scrolling down the article, suddenly the page reload automatically ...auch! that's too bad.

...with this tutorial you will take full control of some of your browser reload operation.

Stop auto page reload on Internet Explorer.

Note: some sites like football scores site, use the auto page command to enable users get their latest update(s)

1. In IE 7 & 8, go to “Tools > Internet Options> Security“, click on the Custom Level button.




2. Scroll down to see “Allow META REFRESH". Select “Disable” and click OK to save change(s)

Disable Auto Refresh on Opera

In Opera, go to “Preferences
> "Advanced”, click on the “Network” entry. Uncheck the box “Enable Automatic Redirection”.




Disable Auto Refresh in Firefox

In your fire fox browser, go to preferences >Advanced.

Go to General tab, check and tick the box “Warn me when the web sites try to redirect or reload the page“.



No solution for Safari and Chrome Browser, I will update you as soon as it's is available.

Having the strong feeling that you will need a tutorial like this one, so I decide to share my experience with this easy,reliable and efficient automatic share Button Installer tool called Addtoany



Scroll Down to Step to One Below...


Step 1
Click Hereto open the tool in your browser.


Step 2
Click on get the Share Button

Step 3
Click on
install Blogger Widget, if you like the default button selection, but if you don't like the Default Share Button appearance, click on Customize to add more Social Network Button, edit the button Location on your Blog Post, the Appearance e.t.c.


... Select your blogging platform(see image below), I Choosed blogger, a WordPress user will have to click on WordPress.



Step 4
After step four, a new window will appear on your screen, in th name box, edit the name to your choice or leave it.



Now click on
add Widget**; here the widget would be automatically be uploaded to your blog Template ...simple now all done
