How to root your INFINIX Hot S X521

The INFINIX HOT S is one of the hot selling phone today, it isn't phone worth it's cost.

Infinix hot s is the only known infinix phone to have a finger scanner(biometric scanner). With Android 6.0 Marshmallow with infinix XUI out of the box. Built with 16mp camera, combined with 3,000mah battery, an android operating system of Oct core processor and memory expandable to 128GB all for optimum performance.

One might want to root his phone. Rooting the infinix hot s is a kind of difficult task because the last android M operating system is stubborn to root because the easiest and popular rooting apps e.g Kingroot, Vroot, Framaroot, Tecnoroot, Rootgenius is does not work in the Android M.

The guide below will show you how to Install TWRP recovery and root your smartphone.


MustKnow; after rooting your smartphone, i advise you to uproot your device before performing an OTA update or Factory reset.

1. USB Cable - for communication within thesmartphone and PC.

4. Download TWRP for Infinix Hot S -Download it Here

5. SuperSU-v2.76.zip -Download it Here


Guide to Install TWRP Recovery and Rooot Infinix Hot S x521

1. Move the superSu 2.76.zip you downloaded to your device SD card.

2. Unzip the downloaded TWRP zip file and flash the recovery image to the phone using SP flash tool.

3. Boot your smartphone to TWRP recovery mode by holding down the volume up and power button at the same time for 5 seconds.

4. In TWRP recovery; a prompt might appear, asking you to "swipe to allow modification of system partition". Tap "keep Read Only.

5. If TWRP gives you a rooting access, select "No" and tap "Install"

6. Navigate to the folder you saved the superSu 2.76zip and select it.

Swipe to confirm superSu zip flashing wait until the flashing is complete; after a successful flashing; go back and reboot your smartphone. Congrat, "you made"

To check if your phone is rooted or not. Download the Root Checker app from Google play store.

Install and lunch the app, this will let you know if your phone is rooted or not.
